breakers is one of my favourite cloth paintings: the way the light shines and sparkles against the blues, the colours shifting softly across the painting, the fresh little area of delicious lime green who called to me for it's place in the painting

every mark, every stitch, every pigment of colour a gift from my artist heart

a sweet alchemy of colour, mark and texture...immortalizing a moment of beauty from the sea and the sky

it's the loveliest gift to know this painting lives in the treasured space of someone very dear to me

And as always, I want to express my gratitude to be living and working on the ancestral & unceded territories of the hən̓̓qəmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh speaking peoples.I honour the incredible depths of grace, courage and perseverance of Indigenous Peoples, and look to them as an example as they find their voices amidst the noise and obfuscation of colonization.
