Welcome again to quiet little conversations...making a space for peace, grace and serenity with words, thoughts and images.

Thank you so much for reading this weeks quiet little conversation, I really appreciate that you spend this time with my words, thoughts and images

given the world events in 2022, in Ukraine, in Iran, and the occupation of my country's capital city i have been thinking alot about how i want to be in the face of violence, in the face of wildly different world views, in the face of uncertainty and chaos

i'm choosing grace...to be graceful in how i hold others, to be graceful in extending compassion for others' viewpoints and the path that led them there, to be graceful in how i respect and honour my own values and voice.

i'm choosing to hold this quality of grace as my way to take a stand, hoping it will, like a pebble tossed in a pond, create a ripple outward, touching more than i can see...

my hope is that enough of us can choose to take one small purposeful action, to be a pebble...that the ripples that flow onwards from each of us can be part of something profoundly impactful in the world.

I want to express my gratitude to be living and working on the ancestral & unceded territories of the hən̓̓qəmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh speaking peoples.I honour the incredible depths of grace, courage and perseverance of Indigenous Peoples, especially during these challenging times as more and more truth comes to light in relation to residential schools in Canada.

until next time,

Mardell
