elevating the everyday
Thank you for being here for this week's quiet little conversation...making a space for peace, grace and serenity with words, thoughts and images, turning the volume of the outside world down, letting the universe whisper in your heart.
I recently read this article by the artist Kwulasultun. In it, the artist referenced a quote by anthropologist Wilson Duff describing Coast Salish Art as: 'it is to make the sacred visible'.
This is such a beautiful quote and respectfully, I think it can apply to anywhere we are creating something with intention and love for the thing we are creating. Maybe it's the way you write letters to your special people, or the way you create beautiful floral arrangements, the way you prepare a delicious meal or the way you engage others in meaningful conversations. I wonder in the pursuit of our daily activities, where we might find one we can elevate with a purposeful intent to make the sacred visible.

And as always, I want to express my gratitude to be living and working on the ancestral & unceded territories of the hən̓̓qəmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh speaking peoples.I honour the incredible depths of grace, courage and perseverance of Indigenous Peoples.
until next time,
